ARPENT stems from our desire to make the strengths of immersive technologies, such as virtual reality or augmented reality, accessible to everyone. We believe these technologies are mature enough to be more broadly utilized, as long as certain recurring problems are bypassed. We are also convinced that the construction, renovation, or refurbishment of real estate is a critical moment that these solutions can truly simplify and streamline by better engaging people around technical content such as floorplans. This is what we would like to offer with ARPENT.
ARpent is driven by Jean-Baptiste de la Rivière. Holding a doctorate in virtual reality, Jean-Baptiste has over 20 years of experience in new technologies. He has coordinated and contributed to numerous innovations in new visualization and 3D interaction solutions, considering both the technology and its integration and usage in various professional contexts.
Jean-Baptiste de la Rivière has been an expert for the ANR (French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation) and the European Commission. He is the author of about thirty scientific publications including high-ranking conferences (Siggraph, UIST...) and is the inventor of nearly a dozen patents.
